Here is a little history of one of the songs that we sing for class. "Cielito Lindo" is a popular traditional song of Mexico, written in 1882 by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés (c. 1859 - 1957). The melody was used as the basis for a popular song, "You, Me, and Us," which became a hit for Alma Cogan in the United Kingdom in 1957 (Wikipedia). Just some facts for you and a video of some famous singers singing it.

Well, I want to see you get up there and sing like those guys. lol That would be very entertaining. But that was a nice video they really get into singing.
